Installation: Painting with acrylic and spray paint on taffeta, paper, satin fabric, silk, stretch mesh, linen and cotton jersey, textile applications, ribbons and cords.
Everything Becomes One - Nothing Becomes One is an installation that forms a painterly landscape to enter with body, gaze and thought. Elastic works in textile materials create imaginary spaces in the existing space. It is in the experience, where the body perceives its own signals in the encounter with the work, an awakening of its own being that is in focus.
Ronneby Konsthall is located in Kockum's former packing hall and is 1200 square meters. The sawtooth ceiling is supported by regular rows of columns. The room's own rhythm created a resistance to the painterly formations in textile materials. As the visitor moves through the room, the foreground and background change places and the image becomes mobile and changeable. A dissolution of the existing spatiality was reinforced when the room and the work were united into a unit. The room was experienced more as a space than a room. The exhibition is based on works from the project When the Room is the Image, 2020.
